WHO IS ELIGIBLE?
Early Intervention is for families with
infants or toddlers ages birth through
the end of two years old who have concerns
about how their child is developing. Children
having any of the following may be eligible
for the State’s Early Intervention
Services.
Children with suspected delays such
as:
- Diagnosed with vision or hearing
loss
- Difficulty with movements
- Difficulty with speaking clearly
of understanding language
- Behavior difficulties
Children with a medical diagnosis such
as:
- Cerebral Palsy
- Down Syndrome
- Fetal Alcohol Syndrome
- Spina Bifida
Children who may be “at risk”
for developmental delay due to:
- Family history of substance abuse
- Lack of prenatal care
- Premature birth
- Children of teen mothers
- Other risk situations
