BRIEF HISTORY

The Illinois Department of Human Services (DHS)/ Office of Developmental Disabilities (ODD) funds a community based grant program to serve as a “front door” to the service delivery system for persons with developmental disabilities or with a dual diagnosis of developmental disabilities and mental illness. Persons residing in Kane and Kendall Counties and Hanover Township of Cook County are eligible for these services. Service coordination and advocacy services are to assist individuals and their families through the maze of community services to access needed supports and services. The grant program serves all ages at no cost to the family.
